Fancy New Wrap!

A dear friend of mine gave me a stunning scarf as a gift;  Upon receiving it, I had no idea how I was going to incorporate it into a hair wrap, because it was small and triangular, see-through, with fringe!  Little did I know that it would allow me to create one of the most stunning wraps!

(This is the “new” wrap that I was speaking about before – on my tutorial list!  It has a four tail braid with the fringe poking out.)

Same Wrap with Different Scarves!

It’s amazing how the same wrap can look drastically different with different scarves.  These are both scarves that I’ve showed you on this site before.  The first one is yellow and made of a very thin cotton:

The second one is a thicker pashmina-like scarf, that had large vertical stripes and intricate texture.  Vive le difference!

This is proof that you only need to master one wrap and then try it with different scarves to get a myriad of different styles!  The wrap used for both of the above examples is a Regal Wrap.

Happy Wrapping Y’all! ❤

Shavuot Night Tie

Hi Everyone, I apologize for my lack of daily posts!  The reason was that the Jewish holiday of Shavuot came right in the middle of the week, and of course, since I don’t use technology on these days, taking photos of head wraps wasn’t possible.  I did, however, create a new style that I’m very excited to share (and will hopefully take photos of this weekend)!  For now, here is what I wore on my head for the eve going into the holiday.  My husband gave me the cream/grey/black scarf as a holiday present, and I added the teal to match my skirt.  The tie is a double twist.  Since the scarf is multi-tonal, it looks like I’m wearing a lot more than two scarves (especially in the twist part)!  Thank you to my lovely friend who snapped these photos 🙂

Yesterday’s New Tie – Take 2!

Many of you have asked for a tutorial on how to do yesterday’s tie – I will make it happen!  However, before doing so, I need to wear the style a few more times before I can claim to be expert enough to make a tutorial.  Here is the same tie, but with a silkier scarf… looks pretty good and is holding up well!

Easy Summer Style

This one is super easy, and only requires one square scarf (no volumizer or any add-ons).  It is much lighter than the usual wraps I wear, and I find that it’s making me happy every time I pass a reflective surface!  Will definitely be experimenting with similar styles over the next few days.

Wrapunzel Gallery

It has been requested that a gallery be made available of all the daily post wraps.  Here it is, saving you from scrolling!  This “Wrapunzel Gallery” much like the pink header up above, but instead showcases ALL the wraps featured on the site so far.  Some of these photos were taken before Wrapunzel existed, when hair wrapping was just a small section of my other website, but the majority of them were featured as daily posts.  This gallery is for you to save, pin, print, share with friends, etc.  Think of it as a comprehensive scarf tying database and use it for inspiration!

Click on the photos to see them in full size and go through the gallery!  If you have questions about a specific wrap, leave a comment on the actual photo by clicking on it 😀
