I love this scarf! It’s so simple, and the colour is beautiful and flattering. And because it’s so light and soft, it’s perfect for the summer!

Triple Twist!
Here is a creative variation on the double twist wrap that was featured last week. One of our readers (thank you Lauren!) shared a photo of her with a TRIPLE twist and I just had to try it. You can do it easily by following the video but instead, you just wrap one of the ends around your head instead of the two shown (this leaves three ends hanging for the triple twist), or conversely you could use three scarves if you want to be super intricate! I was very happy with the results!

Beginner’s Guide and Shopping Advice!
You asked, so here you go!
I have added a new page, called The Beginner’s Guide, with a video devoted specifically to beginners, and links to the most simple wraps on this site. Check it out! There is some good advice even for those that have been wrapping for a while… it’s always important to review the basics!
And also as per request, I have added a new section for those of you that want to share shopping advice, recommendations, and questions. I will be adding my own as well to the page (and will update occasionally), but for now you can start off by adding your recommendations in the comments section. Thank you for helping us find beautiful scarves!
Volume How-To
Ever wondered how to get that perfect bun and amount of volume at the back of your headwrap? Here is the secret solution! (Well, not so secret anymore.)
Actually, I gave you a grand total of 7 solutions in this video!
Here are the links to some of the places I mentioned in this video (fyi – these resources are not sponsored… just ones that I have used and/or know!)
The volumizer can be found through Judith de Paris. And on facebook. Judith is a lovely woman. You can talk to her personally if you need advice on what size to get etc. – or just ask me for help!
The hijab hump bonnet can be found on ebay through this seller. It comes from Malaysia so you need to have some patience when waiting for it, but there was a lovely handwritten note included. I’m thinking of buying a cotton one from them as well.
My post on how to make it look like you have a huge bun using a long scarf is here.
The volumizer that can be made out of a loofah has a couple of diy tutorials on youtube. Here is one that someone sent to me.
And this is what the hair donut I was describing looks like:

Grey Day – Blue Scarf!
The rainy weather today called for a simple regal wrap turban. This is by far my most worn style – it’s so easy once you get the knack of it, and everyone always asks how it is done! There are no limits to how casual or fancy it can be, especially when you factor in accessories 🙂
Pashmina Tutorial :)
Ahh… the illustrious pashmina. So soft, warm, and elegant. Most ladies who live in climates that dip below 10 degrees Celsius own at least a few of these to keep cozy in the winter months. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could wrap them on our heads as well?
However, sometimes using pashminas as headscarves can leave us with residual feelings of itchiness, slippiness, manuverability complicatedness… and most of all… that dreaded BULKINESS. Now, I for one admire those rare women that can pull off a wide and volumous pashmina wrap, but it takes a lot of guts and the right face shape. So where does that leave the rest of us?
Have no fear, Wrapunzel is here with a pashmina video tutorial!
