Pretty in Purple (Plus Next Week’s Color!)

WOW! Purple is a favorite color among Wrapunzelistas worldwide! This week’s #wrapunzeledinpurple Color of the Week got more submissions than any other color so far. We had tons of beautiful looks, from the fanciest to the most casual. Thank you to everyone who submitted! If you’d like to join the fun, go to the bottom of the post – next week’s color will be revealed, along with instructions on how to submit your photos!

Bonus: This week’s collage contains not one but TWO chickens. Can you find them? (hint: one is very, very small!)

And without further ado…. next week’s color is BROWN! Break out your favorite chocolate, coffee-colored, tan, leopard-print or taupe scarves and accessories and come wrap with us! (And yes, combining brown with a second color still counts!) If you want to join in, come over to the Wrapunzel Fangroup and share your pictures using the hashtag #wrapunzeledinbrown. Anybody who’s not on Facebook can email their pictures to us with the subject line “Color of the Week.” To be part of next week’s blog post, please submit your photos by Thursday!

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but each week for the last three I’ve submitted pix of myself in the appropriate color with the hashtag #wrapunzeledin______ and my pictures don’t show up in the composite of the week. What am I doing wrong?  BTW brown is one of my favorites especially at this time of year. Shabbat shalom, Jocelyn Schultz Isenberg Sent from XFINITY Connect Mobile App

Hi Jocelyn! Since the Fangroup is a closed and private space, we don’t automatically post every picture that uses the hashtag, because it would be a privacy issue. There are women who want to participate, but don’t want their picture posted onto a public blog afterwards. We needed an easy way for ladies who DO want their pictures posted to let us know that we have their permission. So we ask that if you want to be in the next collage, you add your photo(s) into the comments section of the pinned post at the top of the Fangroup page (the post that has last week’s collage and announces the next color). That way we know it’s okay to put that picture in a public space. šŸ™‚ Those who are not on Facebook can email them to us. We collect all the pictures from the pinned post comments and which were emailed to us, and those become the collage for next week.

I do so much enjoy to follow all your “colour of the week” pictures here (I’m not on facebook); I am always overwhelmed by all your creativity. This week I really do have a big wish: I am stunned by the beautiful lady with the deep purple lakeshore bliss (I think this is the scarf) and the silver feather brooch on it. The wrap looks so lovely with the twisted side. Could you please make a video on how to do it???? With love from Hassiba

I was wondering if Naomi Rose could write about how she came to Judaism. Most people our age aren’t into conservative religion. I don’t want to overstep boundaries but I am curious. I’m not Jewish but I also converted to a pretty conservative religion at a young age.

My photo on the silver week didn’t make the cut. I sent it on the monday, and got a thank-you for it, so I know it arrived 😦

Beautiful wrapping! I’d love to see a tutorial on the stunning lace and scarf wrap that framed the Wrapunzel ladys face so beautifully, like long hair. One day I hope to wrap well enough to send in my photo. Any suggestions for styles for round faces?

Purple is said to be the color of royalty and dignity. I think we all look like queens. And now brown is my best neutral…

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but I keep posting pictures for the color of the week with the hashtag and they don’t show up in the composite. I’ll try again this week.

Hi Jocelyn! If you look at the pinned post on the top of the page, it has the instructions for how to enter. Because we have women who want to use the hashtag but do NOT want their pictures posted on a public website, we don’t post every picture that uses the hashtag on the blog – it could be a major privacy issue. So if you would like a particular picture to be part of the next week’s blog post, please add it to the comments on the pinned post at the top of the Fangroup page. šŸ™‚
