… that the director of your seminary in Jerusalem is in Chicago and you get to go to an alumni dinner! So, I am dressing accordingly:
This wrap is actually only one scarf and one sash. The scarf has three colours (black, brown and white) and the sash is a golden colour which matches my outfit and the pin perfectly. It’s funny that I used to be such a minimalist when it came to jewellery, but now that I cover my hair, I like wearing huge earrings!
Andrea, You are great w/ colors and find the most beautiful scarves. Where is a good, cheap place to look? I don’t love thrift stores but check Walmart, TJ Maxx, Marshalls,Target, etc. I just love what you wear!
All the best, Aviva

Target has been one of the best stores in terms of what I’ve seen… also claire’s, forever21 (depending on the season), macys and various ethnic shops for silk ones!

Andrea- I totally agree about the bigg-ER earrings. In fact today’s mini shopping spree was for just that. All of a sudden all my earrings were just dwarfed by my daily creations. Thank you for being such an inspiration!

I agree! I need to find a new home for my old, tinier ones 🙂

I’ve used a few of my smaller earrings (usually drop/dangle style) clustered together as if they are a pin. I just slip the practice backings that come on them when bought onto the wire and voila! They aren’t going anywhere!

You definitely stepped up to the plate with this one- gorgeous as usual. And I’m really impressed with how you make simple combinations look both complex and neat.

How do you get pins to lay so nicely, and not flop around all day? It’s the one scarf trick I just can’t master!

I will make a post about this soon… but in a nutshell, the “pin” part of the pin has to be not sticking out as much, and you have to get enough fabric in there so it kind of “sinks in” to the cloth. Complicated… but something I will talk about in my accessories video (coming soon!)
