Naomi Rose: Deep Ocean – a tribute

This photo was taken a year and half ago (!) when Andrea and I visited Israel together. We had a meet-up in the Old City of Jerusalem with an amazing group of wrapping enthusiasts. The scarf I’m wearing here was called Deep Ocean, and it was on the Wrapunzel store at the time… briefly. After it sold out we thought we’d never see it again.

But lo and behold! 18 months later we finally tracked down more of them, and you can find them here!

I’m celebrating by wearing mine again, in a Zahava Chignon. Hooray!

Naomi Rose, thank you and Andrea for searching and finding the Deep Ocean Scarf. I just ordered it online. I noted that due to the High Holy Days, that shipping may be delayed. That is fine as long as I receive it sometime this month:)

I love the above photo. Ironically, I didn’t find too many women wrapping the Wrapunzel way when I was in Israel. Most women I saw had hats or snoods, except for the Sephardic women with beautiful wraps.

And, I want to wish you, Andrea, and all the ladies of Wrapunzelnation who are Jewish a wonderful, healthy, and good new year.
Shanah Tova u’Metuka (Good and sweet year for those who don’t know Hebrew)

May we all continue the Wrapuzel revolution and show the world that modesty and color and wrapping work together to bring light and Tikkun Olam (which means to help make the world a better place which we Wrapunzel ladies are doing!)

May the new year bring more creativity in our wrapping, new scarves (tichels) and more women into our Wrapunzel sisterhood!

Thank you for all your tutorials, and the creativity that you are all will to share with us. B”H
