I have been experimenting lately with combining many textures and colours with lots of layers and twists. It’s the kind of fun that I highly recommend trying out!
Here it is in magenta, navy and tan:
And in candy colours and stripes:
And in pastel salmon, blue and white!
I am loving this look, and find that it really stays put all day (of course, you have to be wearing the proper equipment underneath). What do you think of it?

I find wrapping so many scarves, even if they are light, ends up very heavy feeling on my head. I’ve been working on ways to wrap more layers without the extra weight.

I particularly like the bow at the back of that first style. I’m always a fan of bright color combinations- but the details tend to be what make things really stand out for me.

They all look great. I’ve been doing a lot of that too trying to see what colors will contrast but still blend rather than clash. I see in the top one that the deep navy scarf has gold in it so that’s why it goes so well with the gold one. There is gold in the reddish one too. There’s no earthly reason why the light blue/turquois/black one works, but it does!!
I’m also seeing that you are pulling everything nice and tight and snug. I think that is why when I do the same thing I’m getting a slapped together, messy look.
It comes across more like I fell headlong into a pile of scarves, if you can picture that.

They are all wonderful. I would love to see a tutorial though on how to do the second photo down (or if you have already done one, what the name of the tut is).. I think my biggest issue is getting scarves long enough…mine never seem to go as far as yours do!

I love the color combinations but especially the beautiful richness of the magenta, navy and tan. You make everything look so attractive, nothing like the stereotype of a woman working over a hot stove all day.(Which is something lots of us do anyway, but, it’s lovely to be beautiful too.) I am so excited that you are coming to the Hair Wrapping Fair in Metro Detroit. You always have something covering your own hair under the scarves to maintain modesty. I’d like to know where to get that kind of item, especially for scarves that might be too see though. Will you be selling things at the show? We are so excited.

Can you do a tutorial on how to put pins in the scarves? Since I can’t really see what my fingers are doing, I can never really get the clasps open and closed.
Also – can you recommend some good wraps for women with long hair who don’t like to put it up in a bun (since it can get kind of heavy and tangly) and would rather stick with loose hair or a ponytail?
